English language
- TOEFL iBT, 4.5 overallAUB's published TOEFL iBT threshold reflects the redesigned score scale in effect from 21 January 2026. Scoring at or above this level places an applicant directly into English 102 without a remedial English course.
- IELTS Academic, 6.5 overallScoring at or above this level places an applicant directly into English 102 without a remedial English course. A score of 6.0 places an applicant in English 102 as well but via a lower AUB-EN/TOEFL band; see AUB's page for the full placement table.

Admissions tests
- SAT requiredOfficial SAT results (College Board code 0902) required for regular freshman admission. Automatic acceptance at an SAT superscore of at least 950 for Sciences/Engineering majors (at least 870 for Arts majors) with Grade 10-11 passed; competitive review otherwise. Applicants with a Grade 10-11 average of at least 13/20 may apply without a prior SAT score but must then take the SAT during freshman year and score at least 950 (Sciences majors) or 870 (Arts majors).
- AUB-EN (EEE) optionalAUB's own English entrance exam. One of three accepted options (with TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic) for applicants whose SAT English section score is below 530; a minimum AUB-EN score of 40 places an applicant directly into English 102 without a remedial English course. Not required of applicants who already meet the English requirement via SAT, TOEFL, or IELTS.
