Eligibility: For new commencing international applicants studying on-campus at Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Melbourne, Orange, Port Macquarie, Sydney or Wagga Wagga in an approved course. Applicants must meet at least one of two academic criteria: either complete an Australian AQF Level 7 or higher qualification within 12 months of the applied course start date and be new to Charles Sturt or to that level of study; or reach an academic entry score of 75 per cent in the Australian Year 12 equivalent for most undergraduate degrees (85 per cent for eligible Allied Health courses other than Nursing, 65 per cent in the equivalent undergraduate degree for postgraduate entry).

Recorded as merit because Charles Sturt's own opening line says the scholarship "recognises and rewards excellence". No numeric grade bar is recorded: the percentage entry scores are only one of two alternative qualifying routes (the other is prior completion of an Australian AQF Level 7 qualification), so recording one of them as the minimum would misstate the eligibility test. Applications close 11:59pm 31 December 2026 and are assessed as part of course admission — there is no separate application. Holders cannot also receive other Charles Sturt-funded tuition fee scholarships. Charles Sturt's approved-course list for this award does not include the Bachelor of Dental Science.

Charles Sturt International Student Success Merit Scholarship

A 30% tuition fee reduction applied from the second session of the course and continuing for the remaining duration.

Eligibility: For international students commencing at Charles Sturt in 2027 who meet the entry requirements for their course and all visa requirements, and enrol in an eligible on-campus course at Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Melbourne, Orange, Port Macquarie, Sydney or Wagga Wagga. Applicants must meet one of two criteria: either complete an Australian AQF Level 7 or higher qualification within 12 months of the applied course start date and be new to Charles Sturt or to that level of study; or reach an academic entry score of 75 per cent in the Australian Year 12 equivalent for most undergraduate degrees (85 per cent for eligible Allied Health courses other than Nursing). Eligible students are considered automatically.

Basis left unset, deliberately, even though the award's name contains "Merit". Unlike the Charles Sturt International Student Merit Scholarship — whose page says in terms that it "recognises and rewards excellence" — this page makes no claim about how the award is decided: it lists qualifying conditions, one of which (prior completion of an Australian AQF Level 7 degree) is about qualification type rather than achievement level. Charles Sturt Regional Accommodation Bursary for International Students

AU$1,000, credited to the student's on-campus accommodation account after the session's census date. It cannot be used for any other transaction, and recipients still pay the orientation tariff and acceptance fee.

Eligibility: For new international students enrolled in a full CRICOS-registered degree at the Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga campus, who secure on-campus Charles Sturt accommodation before the published deadline for their session and are enrolled on-campus with a full-time load when eligibility is assessed. Single-room occupancy only. Students already receiving another relocation or accommodation scholarship may not be eligible.

Basis left unset: the bursary is awarded first come, first served to students who move to a regional campus and take university accommodation, and Charles Sturt states neither an academic nor a financial-need test. Up to 50 were offered in 2026. This is an accommodation credit rather than a tuition reduction, so no coveragePercentage is recorded. Bursary applications for Session 1, 2026 closed 5 March 2026 and for Session 2, 2026 on 15 July 2026.
