The university gives this as one band across all its housing types (shared dorm rooms through studio apartments), varying with location and size, in its example monthly student budget.

Applying for housing means accepting that the university will find housing with a monthly rent of up to 8,500 SEK a month, and accepting the contract presented on arrival even if it does not match the preferences given. An administrative fee of 850 SEK applies to the housing application, and a one-off 450 SEK charge for a duvet and pillow is added to the first rent in most accommodation. No rent or deposit is paid before arrival; most landlords bill the rent and any deposit in one instalment a few weeks after arrival, and rent is charged for the full rental period regardless of arrival date.
