University hostels "Block 35" and "Block 3" (750 beds in total) — the published monthly rent, which differs by student category rather than by room: 65 BGN for students admitted at state order and 100 BGN for foreign students and students in the paid form of training. An international applicant should read the 100 BGN figure. Electricity and subsistence are not included and are paid separately.
Block 35 has recently been fully renovated: two- and three-bed rooms each with their own sanitation, a TV set and an internet connection, a kitchen on every floor with microwave, stove and sink, three reading rooms with about 30 seats, a free fitness hall and a 40-seat canteen. Block 3 is partially renovated with double rooms, separate sanitation and internet access, three reading rooms and a newly built canteen. Both blocks have a park, their own parking, cash machines, access control and 24-hour video surveillance. The same page separately estimates private rent in Varna at 500-700 BGN a month, which is not what this figure records.
