UBD prices its Bachelor of Engineering as a whole-programme fee, not a yearly rate: the table is headed 'Programme Fee', the row is labelled '[4 years]', and the page states 'All tuition fees charged for Full Time and Part Time students are of the same amount, not based on the duration of their candidature.' The same page also says 'For undergraduate, all fees are charged yearly', which is the billing cadence — the programme total is collected in yearly instalments — so over the standard four years this works out at B$10,500 a year. Brunei citizens and permanent residents pay B$36,000 for the same degree. On top of tuition UBD charges an acceptance fee of B$100, a registration fee of B$100, a refundable B$250 programme deposit and a B$60/year students' association fee, and requires insurance cover for the Discovery Year. UBD's own note that 'Fees Regulations and tuition fees are correct at time of publication and may subject to revision from time to time' applies. The Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship for Foreign Students (BDGS) can cover tuition plus living costs in full for successful applicants and is recorded separately as a national scholarship.
