UTAMU prices international students in US dollars by degree level rather than by programme: every bachelor's degree is $700 per academic session, plus a $30 application/admission fee, and the page states this "includes both the tuition and functional fees". Local (East African Community) students are billed separately in shillings — 1,200,000 UGX a semester plus 250,000 functional and 50,000 application — so the dollar figure is genuinely the international rate rather than a conversion. "Per academic session" is recorded as per-year, which is what the phrase means here (the local table is the one quoted per semester). No academic year appears on the page.
