VUB bills a fixed amount plus a rate per ECTS credit rather than a flat yearly price. The row reads: programme language EN, fixed amount EUR 2,600, EUR 52 per ECTS, EUR 5,720 for a 60-ECTS year — and 5,720 is the figure recorded here because non-EEA students must register a full load. VUB states elsewhere that non-EEA students have to register for 54 credits to qualify for a residence permit and pay for them in full at the start of the year. EEA students pay a much lower rate on a separate tariff sheet. The source is VUB's official tariff PDF; see the draft note about how it was archived.

Show the fee on the university's site

VUB does not publish one flat annual price: the tuition fee is a fixed amount paid once per academic year plus a variable amount per credit registered, so a student taking fewer than 60 ECTS pays less than the headline figure and a student taking more pays more.

Academic offer

A high-school degree giving access to university-level study, plus — as VUB states for this programme specifically — a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or a 70% average as a general rule. Applicants whose diploma is not equivalent to a Belgian secondary diploma are admitted only after a screening that also requires transcripts and a motivation letter.

From VUB's official non-EER (non-EEA) tuition table for academic year 2026-2027. VUB bills a fixed amount plus a rate per ECTS credit rather than a flat yearly price: the row reads programme language NL, fixed amount EUR 1,680, EUR 52 per ECTS, EUR 4,800 for a 60-ECTS year — and 4,800 is the figure recorded here because a non-EEA student must register a full load. The arithmetic self-checks: 1,680 + (60 x 52) = 4,800. Every Bachelor on VUB's non-EER table shares this 1,680/52/4,800 structure except the English-taught Business Economics degree already recorded in this file, which is dearer at 2,600 fixed and 5,720 a year. NOTE THE LANGUAGE: VUB's Medicine bachelor (BSc Geneeskunde) is taught in DUTCH, not English.
