| LPUPhagwara | US$870 to US$2,295Promotional rate | On-campus residential charges for the full academic year 2026-2027, as published on LPU's international-students accommodation page, for students from countries other than Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka (SAARC students are quoted the parallel INR column instead). The range runs from an air-cooled Standard Room in a 4x2/5/6/7/8-seater block to an air-conditioned Studio Apartment in a 1-seater block. | KLEFVaddeswaram | ₹37,500 to ₹52,500 | KL University Vaddeswaram campus hostel, Room Rent line only, non-AC rooms with common toilet, academic year 2026-273 room types
Room rent only. Every row on the same table carries a separate mess fee of 92,000 and GST of 4,600, and the bundled 'Single Instalment at the time of Academic Year Registration' figure for the cheapest room is 1,34,100, which is room rent plus mess plus GST. Beyond the non-AC common-toilet rooms quoted here, the same table prices non-AC attached rooms, AC rooms and AC deluxe and super-deluxe rooms, rising to a 2-bed AC super-deluxe at 77,500 room rent; the range here is deliberately scoped to the cheapest block because the whole table cannot be quoted contiguously under the length cap. A one-time electricity deposit (4,000 for non-AC rooms, 12,000-15,000 for AC) and a 5,000 non-refundable registration fee are charged to new students. A separate Lotus Hostel table prices AC Premium rooms. | kluniversity.inread 19 Sept 2026 |

| VITVellore | ₹120,700 to ₹179,200 | Men's Hostel, VIT Vellore campus: the combined room-and-mess fee for first-year Indian-category students in the regular blocks MHN and MHP, for the six-sharing and four-sharing room types. Three- and two-sharing regular rooms and the all-air-conditioned deluxe block MHQ are priced higher, and NRI/foreign-category students are billed on a separate US-dollar scale (both in the notes).12 room types
Every line is a single combined 'Room & Mess fee', so a full meal plan is already inside the figure: vegetarian, non-vegetarian or 'special' mess is what separates the three prices for any one room type. The same sheet states the hostel fee is inclusive of laundry charges, to a maximum of 44 washes. Two charges sit on top of every line and are what produce its 'Total' column: a non-refundable admission fee of INR 15,000 and a refundable caution deposit of INR 15,000. Mess type can be changed monthly, at the full differential in the fall semester or half of it in the winter; there is no refund for a mess or room downgrade, and the sheet says the fee is subject to annual escalation. Beyond the rooms quoted here the same sheet prices three- and two-sharing regular rooms at INR 133,400-200,400 and the deluxe block MHQ, which is air-conditioned throughout and runs from eight-sharing down to two-sharing, at INR 157,800-234,800; NRI and foreign-category students are billed in US dollars instead, $1,520-2,590 in the regular blocks and $2,050-3,090 in MHQ. VIT's own hostels page (vit.ac.in/campuslife/hostels) adds that rooms come furnished with a cot, chair, study table, study lamp, bookshelf and cupboard, and that the blocks carry Wi-Fi, mechanised laundry, an air-conditioned gymnasium, a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, study dormitories, a pharmacy, food outlets, round-the-clock security and 24-hour water and power backed by standby generators. | vit.ac.inread 17 Sept 2026 |
How to read these prices
- Each is what the university publishes on its own site, usually for its own halls; the “What it covers” column says exactly what.
- Prices are only compared with others quoted for the same period and currency, so nothing here has been converted or scaled.
- A promotional or time-limited rate is marked and never listed as the cheapest option.
- Open a university to see its tuition, courses and the exact sentence each price came from.
