RMIT Future Leaders Scholarship
A 20% tuition fee reduction for the duration of the eligible program, as set out in the offer letter. Continues each year as long as satisfactory academic progress is maintained; academic progress is reviewed at the release of Semester Two results each year.
Eligibility: Open to citizens of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal or Pakistan (including dual citizens holding one of those passports) who hold or apply for a valid student visa and have an offer letter to commence a Bachelor degree or Masters by Coursework at RMIT in Melbourne from the 2026 intakes onwards. Not open to existing RMIT students commencing another program at the same study level. No separate scholarship application is required.
RMIT states it awarded 4616 scholarships to international students in 2025, of which 3750 were Future Leaders scholarships. Applicants must not already hold another RMIT-funded or Australia Awards scholarship covering tuition fees. RMIT does not publish a grade threshold for this award and does not describe the selection as merit- or need-assessed, so no basis or grade bar is recorded here.

RMIT Academic Merit Scholarship for South East Asia
A 20% tuition fee reduction for the duration of the eligible course, as set out in the offer letter. Applies to tuition fees only.
Eligibility: Open to citizens of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste or Vietnam applying offshore from one of those countries, who hold a full or conditional offer for an eligible RMIT award (including a Bachelor's degree or a Masters by Coursework) and are not already an RMIT student. Applicants must have achieved an Australian equivalent grade GPA of 2.5, or a 70% average, or ATAR 75 in the qualifying qualification at the time of application.
RMIT's terms and conditions for this award state that scholarship selection is based on academic merit, which is why the basis is recorded as merit. The award has limited availability and is granted first-come, first-served; the offer must be accepted and a deposit paid within 14 days of the offer letter. The entry bar is published as three alternatives on three different scales (Australian-equivalent GPA 2.5, 70% average, or ATAR 75) with no single scale stated for the GPA figure, so it is described in prose rather than recorded as a numeric bar. Excluded degrees are AD023 Associate Degree in Aviation (Professional Pilots) and BP345 Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot Training), neither of which is listed here.

RMIT's terms and conditions for this award state that scholarship selection is based on academic merit, demonstrated involvement in extracurricular or community activities and personal qualities — an achievement-based test with no financial-need element, which is why the basis is recorded as merit rather than both. The award must be taken up in Semester 1 2027 and cannot be deferred, is offered on a rolling first-come, first-served basis, and cannot be held alongside another RMIT scholarship.
