Waseda is a private university and charges international and Japanese students the same published rate, so this is recorded as all-students. The figure is the Tuition column for the School of Fundamental Science and Engineering and the School of Creative Science and Engineering, which are priced identically. The same row also prints a one-off Admission Fee of 200,000 JPY, a laboratory-work/seminar fee of 72,000 JPY (FSE; 102,000–104,000 JPY for Creative Science and Engineering), an association fee of 3,000 JPY, a first-year total of 1,859,000 JPY (1,889,000–1,891,000 JPY for CSE), and 1,784,000 JPY in the "Tuition per year" columns for the second, third and fourth years — Waseda notes that the first-year payment (admission fee plus whole tuition) is equalised across the four years. Waseda also flags that the AY2026 laboratory-work, library and association fees are undecided and the numbers shown are AY2025 figures given for reference, and that 40,000 JPY of Alumni Association Fee falls due in the second semester of the fourth year. Tuition is paid semi-annually.
