  • Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships Scheme (VCIS)

Up to $60,000. Five amounts are offered based on ranking against selection criteria: $60,000 or $40,000 payable for one year in two equal instalments per semester; $20,000, $10,000 or $5,000 payable for one semester.

Eligibility: International student who has applied for a CRICOS-registered coursework degree and received an unconditional offer of admission. No application is required — all eligible students with an unconditional offer by the closing dates are automatically considered.

Awarded once at commencement and not renewable for later years. From 2026 intakes there is a maximum cap of $40,000 for students who are also recipients of the Sydney International Student Award.

    Source
  • Sydney International Student Award

20 percent contribution to tuition fees for the duration of the course, applied as a reduction of the tuition fee liability in the offer letter.

Eligibility: International student holding citizenship in one of the eligible countries or regions listed on the award page (across Africa, South & Central America, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and much of South, Southeast and East Asia), admitted to a new full-time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree commencing in 2026, not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident. Applicants from eligible countries are prompted to apply within the admission process.

Currently published for new commencements in 2026. Not available for MBA/EMBA, study abroad, executive education, distance-mode courses or Law Dual Degree pathway programs. Capped at $40,000 if combined with VCIS under 2026 arrangements.

  • Sydney International Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship

100% tuition fees plus the Student Services and Amenities Fee, for the published full-time duration of the recipient’s single undergraduate degree (including embedded honours), up to a maximum of 4 years full-time study. Approximately 20 scholarships awarded globally per year across the two intakes.

Eligibility: International student (as defined by the Higher Education Support Act 2003) who has applied for but not yet commenced a single undergraduate coursework degree of up to 4 years (embedded honours included), has completed secondary school or a recognised foundation program, has not previously undertaken tertiary studies, is not commencing a second degree at Sydney, and will enrol full-time. Selection weighs academic merit plus diversity of nationality and intended degree; an online application is required.

Not available for combined degrees with a postgraduate component, the BA/BSc dual degrees with Sciences Po (France), or degrees including the Bachelor of Advanced Studies. Recipients still cover OSHC, living costs and other personal expenses.

PolyU charges one flat non-local rate across every full-time government-funded Bachelor's Degree programme, so this is institution-wide rather than programme-specific; this programme's own 2027 page lists it as Government-Funded. PolyU's word for this population is "non-local": a student who needs a student visa / entry permit to study in Hong Kong, an IANG visa, or a dependant visa issued at age 18 or above. It rises from HK$200,000 for 2026/27 entry. Payable in two equal instalments; every new student also pays a non-refundable HK$20,000 initial fee that becomes part of the first semester's tuition.

Application Guidelines for October 2027 Enrollment · Same rate across the institution · International students

This is Kyoto iUP's published sticker rate for the 4-year undergraduate course (JPY 282,000 one-time admission fee is separate, shown in the same quote) — Japan's standard national-university tuition band, identical to the rate the University of Tokyo's GSC transfer programme publishes. It is NOT what most Kyoto iUP students actually pay: the university states 'Scholarships that include full admission fee waivers and full or partial tuition fee waivers for four-and-a-half years are available for all Kyoto iUP students,' with the admission fee waived in full for every student and the tuition waiver full-or-partial depending on merit, so most admits pay less than this figure. A monthly allowance of up to JPY 120,000 is also paid to every student during the 6-month preparatory course. Kyoto University does not publish any other scholarship for international undergraduates outside Kyoto iUP.

Same rate across the institution · International students

KAIST publishes this figure without stating which year it applies to, so it may already be out of date. Treat it as a starting point and check the course page for the current rate. Flag it below if you know it has changed.

KAIST's Cost of Attendance table for the Undergraduate Program (Main Campus) prints tuition as KRW 3,433,000 for each of the two semesters, KRW 6,866,000 a year, and does not break it down by department. In practice almost no admitted international undergraduate pays it: the KAIST Scholarship covers full tuition for eight semesters plus KRW 350,000 a month for living expenses and medical insurance, with no separate application (applicants tick 'KAIST scholarship' on the Statement of Financial Resources). It is conditional on keeping a GPA above 2.7/4.3 after the freshman year, so the full fee is shown here. The same table puts essential non-tuition costs at a further KRW 8,019,680 a year (National Health Insurance 916,680, books 300,000, a shared Hee Mang Hall room 1,328,000, campus cafeteria food 5,475,000), and KAIST notes the table is subject to change with inflation. KAIST admits undergraduates without a declared major; students choose this department from their second year with no further admission procedure.
