This course starts in 2027, but Imperial has only published fees up to 2026/27. Expect the 2027 figure to be higher.

Imperial publishes a separate "Overseas fee" for each course and each entry year. £45,500 is the figure Imperial published for 2026 entry, i.e. the 2026/27 academic year, on the 2026-entry version of this course page. The live course page now advertises 2027 entry, but at the time of capture Imperial had not set the 2027-entry Overseas fee: it shows "Not set" and quotes this £45,500 as a guide, so the 2027-entry cost is likely to be higher. Charged for every year of the course. Home (UK) students pay the government-capped fee instead (£9,790 per year for 2026 entry). Imperial also warns of extra course costs (field trips, books, protective clothing) on top of tuition.

  • International Baccalaureate Excellence Scholarship

£5,000 per year for each year the course lasts.

Eligibility: Studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma programme; an international student paying the Overseas rate of tuition; applying for an undergraduate course within the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Natural Sciences, or Imperial Business School. No fixed IB point-score threshold is published — academically excellent IB applicants are nominated for the scholarship by the Imperial department they apply to, as part of the admissions process (no separate application).

For 2026 entry, Imperial is offering 23 of these scholarships across the three eligible faculties (Engineering, Natural Sciences, Imperial Business School). Awarded by department nomination, not application; continuation depends on maintaining satisfactory academic progress.

  • Reach Oxford Scholarship

Course fees, a grant for living costs, and one return air fare per year, for the 3- or 4-year length of the course. Receipt of the award in subsequent years is subject to satisfactory academic progress.

Eligibility: Open to nationals of countries on the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list of aid recipients who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own country. For new undergraduates in all subjects in the course listing except medicine. The scheme is only suitable for candidates who have received an offer and who are of the highest academic ability; financial need, social commitment and inability to study for a degree in their own country are also major selection criteria. Applicants should intend to return to their home country after their studies. Around 2-3 awards are made per year and competition is very high.

Applications for 2026 entry closed on 4 February 2026; details for 2027 entry are due to be published on this page in January 2027. Not all Oxford colleges offer Reach Oxford Scholarships every year — being placed at a non-participating college does not prevent an application, and successful applicants are transferred to a participating college.

Caltech charges international and domestic undergraduates the same tuition: the Institute publishes a single undergraduate rate and no separate international rate exists, so this is an institution-wide figure that applies to all students rather than a price for this specific option. Published as a nine-month, full academic-year figure. Caltech's academic year runs on three terms (fall, winter, spring) and the catalog states that tuition, fees, housing and food are divided evenly between them; the annual figure is recorded here as published and has not been converted to a per-term rate. Not included: mandatory fees of $2,655, housing $12,711 and food/meals $9,285, a one-time $600 Orientation Fee for entering undergraduates, and the Caltech Student Health Insurance Plan (waivable with comparable coverage). Financial aid for international undergraduates (verified on caltech.edu): admissions is need-blind for domestic students but need-aware for international students because the international aid fund is limited (www.admissions.caltech.edu/afford); international students must apply for aid as an incoming first-year or they may not apply in later years, no aid is available to international transfer or 3/2 entrants, and international students are not eligible for US Federal Student Aid (www.finaid.caltech.edu/applying/international-students).

Non-subsidised rate: what an international student pays WITHOUT the MOE Tuition Grant. With the Tuition Grant the same programme costs S$18,050/year (ASEAN nationals) or S$21,400/year (all other international students), but the grant carries a bond — non-Singaporean recipients must serve a three-year service obligation with a Singapore entity after graduating. The page states subsidised international and non-subsidised fees are inclusive of GST (prevailing GST 9%); Singapore Citizen/PR fees are exclusive of GST. NUS prices per College/Faculty/School rather than per degree: this is the 'Design and Engineering' row. The College of Design and Engineering has two further rows that do NOT apply to this programme — Built Environment (S$34,250, cheaper) and Architecture/Landscape Architecture (S$40,450, dearer). Eligibility: Open to citizens of an Asian country or region (excluding Singapore) applying for full-time admission to an undergraduate programme in Computing, Engineering (excluding Infrastructure and Project Management), or Science (excluding Environmental Studies and Pharmacy) at NUS. Selection is based on strong leadership qualities and potential, an excellent co-curricular activities record, and outstanding high school results; candidates are automatically considered through their NUS admission application, with no separate scholarship application. Transfer applicants are not eligible. Renewed every semester provided the recipient maintains a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.50 (or equivalent) and good conduct; recipients must take up the MOE Tuition Grant, which carries a six-year bond to a Singapore-registered company after graduation.

NUS also offers a broader NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship (open to citizens of any country except Singapore, any undergraduate programme) with a comparable 100%-tuition-plus-allowances structure; the S&T award is the STEM-specific one and is used here because it covers this programme.

Eligibility: Open to citizens of any country except Singapore, applying for full-time admission to any undergraduate degree programme at NUS. Selection is based on strong leadership qualities and potential, an outstanding co-curricular activities record, and outstanding high school results; candidates are automatically considered through their NUS admission application, with no separate scholarship application. Transfer applicants are not eligible. Renewed every semester provided the recipient maintains a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5 (or equivalent), or grades within the top 80% of cohort for Dentistry/Law/Medicine, and good conduct; recipients must take up the MOE Tuition Grant, which carries a three-year bond to a Singapore-registered company after graduation (five/six years for Dentistry/Medicine respectively).

NUS's Information Systems major is not on the eligible-programme list for the more generous, STEM-restricted Science & Technology Undergraduate Scholarship, so this broader, all-programme award is the one that applies to it.

NTU's fee table splits non-subsidised international tuition into 'Lab Based' (S$40,600/year) and 'Non-Lab Based' (S$36,350/year) tiers under the row 'All Programmes (except for those listed below)' -- the exceptions named elsewhere on the page are Accountancy/Business-related degrees, Medicine, and the Renaissance Engineering Programme, none of which this programme is. Engineering, natural-science and computing degrees are laboratory-based instruction, so the Lab Based figure applies here; NTU's page does not spell out the lab/non-lab designation by named school, so this is the collector's read of the general classification rather than a school-by-school statement. This is the NON-subsidised rate, i.e. what an international student pays without Singapore's MOE Tuition Grant. With the Tuition Grant the same seat costs S$18,050/year (ASEAN nationals) or S$21,400/year (all other international students, both inclusive of GST) -- but accepting the grant binds the (non-Singaporean) recipient to a three-year work-in-Singapore service obligation after graduating, so the subsidised figure is not recorded as the headline fee. 'Annual tuition fee is fixed at the 2026 rate for the duration of the degree programme' -- NTU labels this by admission cohort year ('Accepted Programme Offer in 2026') rather than an academic-year range, hence the period label rather than the academic year.

$73,946/yr is Cornell's 2026-27 undergraduate tuition for out-of-state (non-New-York-resident) students at any Cornell college, and for New York residents at the endowed colleges (which includes the College of Engineering) — this is the rate every international student pays. New York residents at the three state "contract colleges" (Agriculture and Life Sciences, Human Ecology, Industrial and Labor Relations) instead pay a lower $49,816/yr; that discount is tied to New York State residency, not citizenship, and does not apply to international students. Confirmed by Cornell's own news office: "For 2026-27, undergraduate tuition will be $73,946, a 3.76% increase, for out-of-state residents attending any of Cornell's colleges and New York state residents attending the endowed colleges... the Cornell Duffield College of Engineering."

Cornell states that undergraduates from families earning up to $125,000 (with typical assets) receive grant and scholarship aid covering tuition, and those from families earning up to $75,000 receive aid covering the full cost of attendance. This is Cornell-wide messaging, not stated as international-specific; check Cornell Financial Aid directly for how internationals are assessed before assuming parity with domestic aid.

  • UNSW International Student Award

A 20% contribution towards tuition fees each term for the duration of the program. It can be combined with other UNSW scholarships, but not with special offers or tuition fee arrangements under the Sponsor Partners Program.

Eligibility: For international students who are citizens of an eligible country, commencing full-time study as a new student on campus in a UNSW Diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program in 2026 or 2027, holding an offer of admission and not already a UNSW student. Programs offered by AGSM, UNSW Online, UNSW Canberra, UNSW Foundation Programs, Transition Program Online, any Hexamester-calendar program, and Study Abroad students are excluded. Applicants submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words on their reasons for studying the proposed program.

That is a statement about how the award is decided, not merely a bar to apply, and no financial circumstances are named — hence merit rather than both. Confirmation arrives within two days of the offer. The award cannot be deferred.

  • Deutschlandstipendium at TUM

EUR 300 per month plus contact with TUM's industry and cooperation partners, for a period based on the standard period of study. Half is financed by the federal government and half by a sponsor from industry or the private sector.

Eligibility: Open to bachelor's and master's students at TUM and to school leavers about to begin studying at TUM. Explicitly not purely merit-based: TUM states that grades alone are not decisive and that the award rewards students who take on responsibility, show commitment, or master their personal path in life.

TUM awards Deutschlandstipendium scholarships at large scale — more than 9,600 TUM students have received financial and non-material support under the programme since it began. Scholarship holders also join the Ideal support programme of events with foundations and companies. No numeric grade threshold is published, so none is recorded here.

QS #25TUMMunich, Germany

B.Sc. · 3 years · Materials Science, Chemical Engineering

International tuition

€2,000 per term

~€12,000 for the whole 3 years, at today's fee
Published, undated

Priced for this course · Non-EU students

TUM publishes this figure without stating which year it applies to, so it may already be out of date. Treat it as a starting point and check the course page for the current rate. Flag it below if you know it has changed.

Policy in force for newly enrolling students since winter semester 2024/25 (bachelor's degrees are priced at either EUR 2,000 or EUR 3,000 per semester depending on the programme), but the program page itself states no academic year next to the 2,000-euro figure. Charged on top of the EUR 97 (or EUR 82 at TUM Campus Straubing) per-semester student-union contribution every student pays.

Show the fee on the university's site

TUM's own program page states the non-EU tuition fee directly: 'The tuition fees for international students from third countries for this degree program are 2,000 euros per semester.' This is charged on top of the EUR 82 per-semester student-union contribution (the TUM Campus Straubing rate) every student pays. TUM's central non-EU tuition-fee page confirms the policy — in force for newly enrolling students since the winter semester 2024/25 — prices bachelor's degrees at either EUR 2,000 or EUR 3,000 per semester depending on the programme; this program sits at the lower EUR 2,000 rate. Neither the program page nor the central fee page attaches an academic-year or dated 'as of' label to this figure, so it is recorded here rather than as a dated structured fee. TUM's own need-and-merit 'Scholarship for International Students' (a one-time EUR 500-1,800 per semester) and the Deutschlandstipendium (EUR 300/month, explicitly 'not purely a merit-based scholarship') can offset the fee, but neither publishes a stated grade/class-rank bar, so neither is recorded as a named, criteria-gated scholarship.

  • English language proficiency (no certificate required), a good command of EnglishTUM does not require a language certificate for this program; applicants are simply expected to have a good command of English. No German-language requirement is listed among this program’s documents, though individual elective modules may be taught in German.

Admissions tests

  • Aptitude Recommendation (SOV) requiredA mandatory online test (roughly 20 minutes, 20-25 questions in English, covering programme content and general mathematics/science/engineering knowledge). TUM's own page states: "the result of the online test has no influence on your eligibility for admission to the program. However, participation in the test — and the corresponding proof — is mandatory for the application." So the test itself does not gate admission; only completing it does.

Academic offer

Admission requirements and the application procedure vary by the type of higher-education entrance qualification held; applicants with an international qualification generally have their documents reviewed in advance through uni-assist. TUM requires proof of participation in the Aptitude Recommendation (SOV) online test described above.

2026/27 · Faculty-wide rate · International students

One international rate covers every Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering bachelor's programme, including Engineering Science. Read off Table D1/D2 of the Governing Council-approved 2026-27 fee report, where the three money columns are 2025-26, 2026-27 (approval) and 2027-28 (information); the figure recorded here is the 2026-27 column for a student entering in 2026. Tuition only: compulsory incidental fees (about $2,200 a year), the University Health Insurance Plan that international students must carry, books, residence and meals are all extra. PEY Co-op fees apply separately from second year onward for students who take a co-op placement.

Academic offer

British-patterned applicants need five different IGCSE/GCSE/Ordinary Level academic subjects and three different A Level/International A Level academic subjects (four AS subjects in lieu of three A Levels are considered for most programmes). English at IGCSE/GCSE/Ordinary/AS/A Level is required for every programme, and Mathematics at AS or A Level for any programme with the Calculus prerequisite; other prerequisites should be presented at AS or A Level. General Paper, General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills, Key Skills and AS Global Perspectives and Research are excluded from the assessment, as are BTEC National, Cambridge Technical and T-Level qualifications. U of T states these are minimum requirements, not a guarantee of admission, and publishes higher expectations for competitive programmes such as Computer Science.
